Folkus began as a three-concert winter folk series in January 2002. Now in our third decade, and with initial support from the Ontario Arts Council, and the Government of Canada (Canadian Heritage), we are looking forward to another exciting series to take the chill off winter.
Folkus is entirely volunteer run and supported through ticket sales, grants, and local sponsorship.
Openings on the Folkus Team
In 2026, we have openings for two volunteer positions on the Folkus Team: Set Designer and Artist, as well as Communications & Publicity.
